Sundance Cinemas Opens with New Vision of Filmgoing Experience
I was perusing the net looking for interesting movie theaters as research for a movie theater I’d like to open up some day. After just reading and writing about the article on $35 Movie Tickets, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Sundance has expanded and now have their own movie theaters, Sundance Cinemas, for showing films of all varieties on a regular basis rather than during its famous festival in January.
The once closest to me, across the Bay in San Francisco is the Sundance Kabuki Cinema in JapanTown. It’s got reserved seatings, environmentally friendly (and concerned), a bar and restaurant, balcony bar seating for upscale movie screening, the option to purchase tickets online or at the box office, and with 21 screenings. The only hitch is that there is an amenities fee for each movie ticket purchase from $1 to $3. However, considering the better quality of movie going experience offered, $1-$3 is a far cry and a much better deal than a $35 price tag, don’t you think. Visit the Sundance Cinemas website here where they actually explain the very reasonable reasons why they must charge amenities some of which include “no annoying television ads” which is worth paying a buck or two not to see when trying to escape into the silver screen! I’m excited to check it out soon!
