The Incredible Hulk 2008

Geneticist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) takes flight in order to understand — and hopefully cure — that the condition that turns him into a monster. Complicating his situation is the military initiative that wants him captured and controlled, as well as the arrival of a more-deadly nemesis: The Abomination (Tim Roth).

I’d see Edward Norton in just about anything ’cause he rarely disappoints. He served it up subtle, sexy and smart in this second remake of The Incredible Hulk. Sorry Ang Lee, I love ya but this second attempt was much better than your 2003 disappointment.

Norton, Tyler and Roth all were fabulous in their respective roles. Norton has great subtlety and sympathetic presence that makes his Bruce Banner both engaging and convincing to watch. I haven’t seen Tim Roth in forever and was very, very impressed with his portrayal of the villain, Emil Blonsky, a.k.a. “The Abomination”. He was fierce!

What I like best about this version was that the Hulk was much more convincing and not completely computer generated…or at least it didn’t look like it. Also, the story unraveled progressively and without missing a beat. I loved especially the fight sequences between Hulk and The Abomination as well as that between Hulk and Blonsky (before he turned into The Abomination). Just an altogether entertaining film!
